The Conn Man: Part 4

I. I love the song “Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry.

II. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I never really had a “go crazy ahhhhhh college college college!” phase, nor did I have really a ‘bad’ phase in High School; going to parties that were broken up by police, going skinny dipping, using fake IDs to buy liquor—these are foreign concepts to me. I guess it’s artificial nostalgia for a period in my life I never really had.

III. Actually, I should mention that I was at a party that was broken up by the police (more accurately: the fire department) while I was in college (more accurately: university). Jane’s parents were having a party and we left before they burned a 12 foot dead pine tree in a bonfire, causing the neighbors to call the authorities when the flames grew taller than the house.

IV. I’m not a strong swimmer, nor are my friends the type to go skinny dipping. If we want to see each other naked that badly, it’s pretty much going to happen, eventually.

V. Quebec is the type of place that has the “No ID? No Problem” sort of laws in place at the SAQ. Laws are even more relaxed at the places I went to, which are now gentrified urban pubs in lieu of their dive bar histoire.
